Alright, let’s do this one here. Even though I should spend the day packing books into boxes I decided to write after all. This year is closing soon, and I just do not feel fine, so I do what I do best, which is writing stuff. The only good point right now is that new Blash songs are on their way as my mood darkens each day and I feel the loss rapping each and every tiny cell of my body. And just because I know you (you know who you are) will read this, I decided to open up the gates and let our humble audience see some work in progress. It’s been a long time since the last time I wrote a new song, and it seems like the darker the days the better the creative process…So let’s go!

The shortfuse literature project
Monday, December 29th, 2008Lyrics Competition
Sunday, December 28th, 2008Welcome again! This time we have a nice little guess-it-riddle for all of you depressed out there; send us a mail stating bands+songs and get a special christmas call by one of our bandmembers…the angry one probably…
“I am the reason your future suffers, I am the hatred you won’t embrace, I am the worm of a pure gestation, I am the remedy, spit in my face. … We have made the present obsolete. What do you want? What do you need? We’ll find a way, when all hope is gone! We’ve seen the fall of the elite, bury your life, take your disease, we’ll end the world, when all hope is gone!”
“Das ist mein Leben, vielleicht soll es so sein, eine Reise durch den Wahnsinn, durch Licht und Dunkelheit. Man muß wohl erst ganz unten sein um oben zu bestehn bis zum Hals in Scheiße stehn um wieder Land zu sehn,um Land zu sehn”
“Why would she put me through such torture, I would have given my life for her, she was the one that knocked me over, now I’m alone sitting on the corner”
“I will survive, tonight I wander and I roam, just lookin for a way back home tonight”
“Wow, I’ve been here before and I remember it well it scares me to see that so few has changed”
Have a better time than I have!
Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to loose

Fuq you amateurs!
Wednesday, December 17th, 2008How did we know that would happen? Premonition? Or simply knowing that one cannot trust anybody one does not know…Fact is, our last gig this year was cancelled because the other band is nowhere to be found, impossible to reach, and so the venue called the thing off. So here we go and give a big FUQ YOU to the “Squilla Boxers” – stoopid name anyway, and may you rot in your fuqed up rehearsal hole.
The only good news is that the “Devil’s Place” (the venue) will have us in 2009 and will propose a new show as soon as they have a proper concept ready for us to make the trip to Saarbruecken. Props to you! And a bunch of kudos also!!
Alright folks, I’m too pissed right now to go on writing…see you!
Soulbrothers
Saturday, October 4th, 2008Hmmmm! That IS a good burger!! Mhm…Big Kahuna…that definitely is a really good burger…oh, someone is reading this…so hello to you…
Yes, we’re back from some really nice vacation and ready to roq some more. But as we headed for our bunker what did we see?! Someone stole our poster-and-flyer-thingy that we had glued at the door…must have been one of that rotten weird bunch we call fans
Man, I can tell you, you simply cannot leave any piece of Blash unattended; the moment you turn away it is gone…but anyway, whoever owns the poster now, be happy with it. Peace out to all beings…
Talking about “peace out” and stuff…Public Enemy is heading for our city this December; just can’t believe this dreams is coming true. I’m waiting for this since the very early 90s, and most of the band is coming along to see the Gods themselves descending to our little big town. So exited to see you soulbrothers live on stage!! So inspiring after all these years!!
Alright, ehm, let me get back to my burger…see you around!
Worm food? Warm food!!!
Monday, September 22nd, 2008First of all: KOMma-Tom, you roq! You were the first guy who offered us a warm meal…instead of beer and occasional sandwiches only. So kudos to you! Also for your place which consists of 2 (two!) backstage rooms and a comfy medium sized stage
That was fun!!
In advance to the show we were announced in the local newspaper…three columns wide and a big pic above the whole thing. Wow! Check the pictures section – as soon as we have included the snippet…in a few days hopefully!! The newspaper heading was “Punk!”, so we now officially also play PunqRoq, along with our regular AlternaRoq stuff.
But let’s get to the point…our support “Four Hout Fellas” were quite a show and really rocked out big time as they covered a lot of Punk classics, and also a version of a Sublime song…props to you guys! The other band had canceled and was replaced by “Noteingang”, a quite energetic and true punkband. I didn’t listen to much of it, but it sounded like fun. We ourselves did perform quite good that night, even though the always problematic stage sound was a bit of a downer. Nevertheless, we roqed, it felt really good up there, and we celebrated Malina’s birthday on stage
She went up on stage and sang along her favorite Blash song, “Always Good”, and did a nice job there. Happy birthday once more! Thanx for being such an outstanding fan of our little band! And, last and most important, thanx to our girlfriends, who spend the evening filming, taking fotos, smiling, nodding their heads, and being there for us!!
Head on full throttle
Monday, September 8th, 2008We’re approaching the final months of this year, and things are looking good as far as we’re concerned…
-> We have confirmed two more shows, one being on Sept 19 at the “KOM,ma” in Langen, the other on Dec 19 at the “Devil’s Place” in Saarbruecken, and a additional one is still pending.
-> We have shot our first video footage which is now being edited and which will be published on this site this month; it’s a very rough bunkerstyle thingy, and we still don’t know what it will look and sound like…I’m talking about suspense here…truckloads of suspense!
-> As the summer is closing we have now installed a fan in our bunker, meaning at least a little breeze can be created so all the sweat gets blown off instead of running down all the way head to toes…which is good!
-> And……we are happy to have our mic stand back which was lost – or got mixed up with other stuff – at our gig in August. So, welcome back, my beloved good old metal-made device
. Oh, and we now own a banner of our own: big, black, bad-ass design, a real burner…just wait for the next gig…and get ready to be blown away just by the look of it…really…no bullshitting!!
Ok folks, have an easy time ’till we meet again, thanks to Jah or whoever conducts this symphony of chaos we call life, and enjoy your being around…
Tripping the countryside
Sunday, August 10th, 2008Last Saturday we had a show at the third annual “Rock am Rad”, so we packed up our stuff, got into the car and drove off to the cute little festival which booked us. And it was a nice trip, I can tell you, our first trip to a gig outside our home area. Once we left the Autobahn there was rural Germany all around us, grapes, winding roads, small hamlet, and big blue sign telling everyone that BLASH was in town for one night only…really, just look at the picture if you are a notorious non-believer.
The festival itself was on the top of a small hill, right under a windmill that provided all the electricity we needed that night to fuel the massive amps they had installed there. Fortunately the other band of the night, Loss of Resistance, had already set the stage and even more fortunately also had brought all the amps and boxes; kudos to you guys! When we got on stage it was really good, the stage was fine, the mood was right, the stars all aligned and blinking, the moon gleeming like a yellowish light bulb, and the crowd loved it – or loved us and our music, which came quite a surprise to us as we had absolutely no fans or friends there before we got there. So “thank yous” go out to the FWG-guys who brought us there, and to all the people who listened, moved, clapped and most of all liked our music; thank you for making this evening one to remember…
Oh, and by the way, our new homepage is about to go online…check out www.blashed.net regularly to find out more about us and the weird things that we call life…but please wait some more days to give C-Liq a little time to finish the programming…
blash@Rock am Rad -> 9.8.2008
Sunday, August 3rd, 2008Hey everyone!
We’ve been confirmed to play at the Rock am Rad in Fürfeld on August 9th…more information on www.rockamrad.de
See you there!!
Summer drags on
Monday, July 21st, 2008Man, this summer is getting boring…it’s neither hot nor cold, neither dry nor rainy, it is just there, undecided, and in that way it sucks! Just wanted to let you know exactly that! Anyway, Blash is back in full swing, our rehearsing hole is heating up ’til sweat comes dripping down the ceiling, all the while the entire bunker is being “modernized” (whatever dude, whatever), meaning they installed lights (!) in the hallway, and they promised to have a ventilation device in each room…we’ll see what that will be…
Talking ’bout a draging summer, actually we miss being on stage, and by now no new dates have been arranged…which also sucks. Looks like we should get busy to get some new gigs onto our schedule…Oh, and you can of course contact us, if you like to book us…just in case…
Okay, time for some lunch…see you guys!
