Tripping the countryside

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

Last Saturday we had a show at the third annual “Rock am Rad”, so we packed up our stuff, got into the car and drove off to the cute little festival which booked us. And it was a nice trip, I can tell you, our first trip to a gig outside our home area. Once we left the Autobahn there was rural Germany all around us, grapes, winding roads, small hamlet, and big blue sign telling everyone that BLASH was in town for one night only…really, just look at the picture if you are a notorious non-believer.

The festival itself was on the top of a small hill, right under a windmill that provided all the electricity we needed that night to fuel the massive amps they had installed there. Fortunately the other band of the night, Loss of Resistance, had already set the stage and even more fortunately also had brought all the amps and boxes; kudos to you guys! When we got on stage it was really good, the stage was fine, the mood was right, the stars all aligned and blinking, the moon gleeming like a yellowish light bulb, and the crowd loved it – or loved us and our music, which came quite a surprise to us as we had absolutely no fans or friends there before we got there. So “thank yous” go out to the FWG-guys who brought us there, and to all the people who listened, moved, clapped and most of all liked our music; thank you for making this evening one to remember…

Oh, and by the way, our new homepage is about to go online…check out www.blashed.net regularly to find out more about us and the weird things that we call life…but please wait some more days to give C-Liq a little time to finish the programming…
