European Tour 2009!!!

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Wow! I mean: WOW!!! We were just confirmed to play at the Spirit of Woodstock festival in Maripuri, Italy. Can you believe that?? Seems that we really are big in Italy, even though our home area tends to ignore us from time to time. But better being big dogs somewhere than being smalltimeguys at home :)

Anyway, this means Blash is heading of for our first show outside Germany, so let’s call that THE BLASH EUROPEAN TOUR 2009 *yeah* The festival is a one-week event in Northern Italy, right next to Lago di Como; we’ll be playing two shows on August 3rd and also be hanging out there some day in advance to get the hippie feeling right. Yes, we’re so part of that rock-n-roll-thing going on since Jimmy took the stage in 1969 and people were crawling in mud happily ever after.

So stoked, I can tell you!!
See you round! And don’t forget the other shows:
April 29: Weingeist, acoustic session
May 2: Filli Forever, re-plugged together with Cubiq

Peace my brothers and sisters!

Done!

Yeah! We did it!! We have just finished recording our very first E.P. :) By now the raw material is being processed to be mixed and engineered by the famous Big Ruben of Elysia…not a bad start for our littel band!

We spent 4 days and nights at the Eagleway4 Studios at Kamp-Lintfort recording 4 tracks (Preacher Girl, Six Weeks, Watch Me and Nu Sound), and what can I say, it sounds so fantastic, better than anything else we have recorded so far, and all of this without any mixing or postproduction so far. Every single tracks vibrates with an intensity we never thought we could put on a tape; thanks to Ruben for his idea to record the basic tracks as a band, meaning we miced everything and rocked the studio right away as if it was a stage (minus the vocals). That way we captured the live energy which is an important part of the blashy way….

Writing about music is always a bit akward, so just check out the picture section (head right to the “pictures” section) for some impressions of the recording process, and get ready for some “Airtime” this summer!! We’ll keep you informed about the proceedings and the publishing date!

All this would not have been possible without the generous help of some great beings, above all Ruben Tilgner and Mama Delliq. Kudos to you, and to everyone else who stopped by, invited us for babecue or just was around at Eagleway4.
