Pfew! Finally! The weekend is over and we’re pretty done with. 3 birthdays and 2 shows in only 5 days was quite a bit…and definitely worth it. The acoustic session at the Weingeist was really realaxed and a good start into those packed days. I guess people enjoyed it as much as we did, only the Britney cover song was estranging to one girl. Anyway.
Much more of story was the show we did with Cubiq at the Filli Forever. Man, that was a run-down part of the city; imagine a 6-lane-road running through an area with abandoned baracks and garisons of the US army lining the streets for miles. Spooky with a lost highway appeal to it. The venue was right next to a rotten pizza joint with surprisingly good pizza – and some evenly surprising mutant-mosquitoes. The Filli itself is damn cool; good size, good acoustics, a really take-it-easy type of owner, a heavy-metal-interieur combined with the license to crank up the amps because there simply are no neighbors. How good can it get?! And how loud?!! Props to all the people that made their way out there, and thanx to Cubiq for setting this up with us and partying once more, and of course kudos to Mirko for having us
