Man, what was that?! Yes, we’re back from our Italian adventure near the Lago Maggiore. We played the Monday headlining show at a local festival organized by the strangest buch of people out there. We’re still not sure if they are just some strange hippie dudes, clever businessmen or some sort of a sect. If you feel like educating yourself about those guys, here’s a good site to start from (yes, the comments stunningly are all true to the core of it).
But let’s skip this thing. Italy really was a great trip; we had some days camping by the lake, and on Monday August 3rd we drove up the hill for the festival. Tech-wise everything was of the finest: 3 stages, fully equipped, stagehands (thanks to Sven for the great job!!), what can you ask more for? The catering was okay (if you are not a carnivor like Tom G), the drinks were faaaar too few (2 per person? Are you crazy?), the crowd quite small but steady, the room a lot of fun…and: we met a really nice band from Turin called “The Bad Weather Project”; check them out if you get the chance!
Our show was set at 23.00h, so after us only the gurumaster himself would sing his “sleep well song” (actually I got nightmares from that….). We had equipped ourselves with some really stunning hippie shirts to honor the occasion, and from above the crowd seemed to have enjoyed the show. I mean, what do you expect on a Monday night in the mountains of Norther Italy?? Everyone stayed with our little band the whole 10 yards, sang along where possible (the loudest in our “Azzurro”-cover), and did a nice small scale hand firework (how do you say “Wunderkerzenfeuerwerk” in English??). Anyway, just have a look at the pictures and you know what I’m talking about. Also you can watch a slideshow on

but make sure you only watch the seconds 2:45-2:57; it is strongly reccommended to watch only this section in order to maintain you mental and acoustic health!
But fact is: WE’RE REALLY BIG IN ITALY!
So, that’s for now; we have to spend some time in the bunker to get ready for next week’s single release of “Six Weeks”. Hope to see you somewhere live!!
